Grey armor

"You better go and get your armor, get your armor"

The first thing that came to mind when I put this outfit on was the song battlefield by Jordin Sparks (That's my jam!). This vest definitely resembles some type of armor...well at least to me it does. I love it! It doesn't get a lot of the attention it deserves but it's perfect for when i'm in my fearless mood. I paired it with this multifunctional white dress also from ASOS and my gladiator wedges. At first I was thinking the wedges, the vest and the dress together were a bit much but I didn't care, like I said, I was feeling fearless. =)

Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving your lovely comments. You guys rock!

Disney smiles

I'm always smiling even when life reveals its many obstacles. That and every time I see a camera my natural reaction is to smile. =)

This outfit is what I wore to downtown disney where my hun and I spent our day eating, drinking and watching movies. Wishing all my bloggies a great and safe weekend. I'll be off to the movies again this weekend for some Colombiana action. I just LOVE going to the movies.

Changed to flats for the long walk back to the car.

Floral edge

Two years ago if someone recommended I buy floral print I would have asked whose grandma are we visiting. Now, not only do I own multiple floral pieces, I own FLORAL HAREM PANTS. Are you kidding me?? =) I just love the way my style evolves over time. I usually don't plan changes they kind of just happen. Maybe my years and years of magazine consumption has something to do with it. Who knows?! All I know is they're so comfortable and I love the way the colors pop against the black (which of course my crappy camera doesn't capture but hey at least I have a camera). They immediately caught my attention as I browsed H&M one day not even looking to buy anything. What about you guys? Do you wear floral prints?

White on white with a little bit of color!

(Pics are actually from a few days ago. Trying to get caught up on my days)

I'm typing tonight with my eyes half closed...but must keep typing ={. It's been another longggg day of moving but I can see the progress so i'm happy. I should be completely finished within a week and I can hardly wait. Moving can be such a dirty task so when I finally got a chance to wear nice clean clothes I just had to wear the purest color I can find. White! I love wearing white almost as much as I love wearing color. It's the perfect color for keeping cool on a hot day. Plus the fact that these pieces are so comfortable from the cotton shirt to the oh so soft Zara pants and the wedges made it even better. I've also been wearing these scarves in my hair a lot for the added comfort and to give the necessary bun a stylish twist.

You've probably figured out by now comfort first then everything else follows. Gone are the days where I would buy a pair of shoes that were too tight just because I couldn't stand the thought of living without them. Or buy pants that was made of such harsh material just so I can sparkle just right. Oh don't get me wrong, I still sparkle, I just have to make the extra effort to sparkle comfortably by shopping around more. Like the saying goes, where there's a will there's a way. Ok now I must put these fingers to bed before they give up and stop typing....=) Downtown Disney tomorrow....can't wait!

DIY Pink Clutch

It's kind of misleading for me to say I made this clutch myself because I didn't. What I did was turn a bag (probably designed for the beach) into a clutch. While I was at the thrift store it instantly caught my attention. The color and the dotted heart pattern on the front yelled "take me home," I just couldn't resist. The original bag itself was a snooze. The owner must have given up on it because the original purchase tag was still attached. Well thank GOD because their trash is my treasure. I've been dying to have a pink clutch and just couldn't find the right one so I knew I had to make one or improvise (not having it wasn't an option). Now after some tweaking, folding and cutting and for the wonderful price of $4 I now own my new favorite obsession. It's kind of big for a clutch but in my world the bigger the better because I have to take my iPad everywhere or i'll suffer from withdrawals....haha!

My favorite blazer

LOL I just noticed I always do this pose when I wear orange.

This is what I wore on Wednesday to attend some appointments. I also did some thrifting and found an awesome oversized striped blue and cream cardigan with gold buttons and trimmings for just $8. I haven't worn it yet but I can't wait. I've been getting more and more into thrifting these days and I love it.

While at the thrift stores I attempted to sell some of my stuff that I hardly ever or have never worn. I'm in the process of moving and I seriously needed to get rid of some of my stuff. The result: 2 bags sold to thrift stores and 6 bags donated to Goodwill. YAY ME! I'm hoping that was the most tedious part of the moving process because this moving stuff is killing me, especially in this heat. All I can stir up the energy to do is shower and sleep when i'm done, hence my lack of daily posts. I really plan on getting into this blog. I think it's amazing how technology allows us our own creative outlet and I for one can't pass on an opportunity like that no matter how long it takes me to get it right. Ok, i'm sooo tired right now, LONG DAY, so i'm going to bed. Hope you enjoy the outfit post because I really really love this orange blazer and I hope to be wearing it for years to come.

To red shoe or not to red shoe?

I love the casual comfort of this outfit. These are all pieces I've had for a long while that I've never worn together. The exposed back top opens in just the right areas to allow the minimal breeze of these hot summer days to circulate through my outfit. The shorts never disappoints when delivering comfort. The red shoes on the other hand, I have a love/hate relationship with. I'm not a big fan of red shoes, I guess because I haven't found the right pair yet. I got these a few years ago and at the time loved the gum soles. Now I think it's just weird. It's funny how quick ones sense of style evolves over time. This is why I've decided all future splurges will be for items that are timeless and of good quality. I'm a true believer that quality will beat quantity every time. Theirs nothing more annoying than going into a store and buying a piece that you instantly fall in lust with and end up only being able to wear it once or twice due to poor quality. I do find that the lower end european stores do a great job of designing lower priced good quality items that doesn't shred, shrivel, fade or tear after the first wear.

What about you? Do you go for quality, quantity or both?
