Ray-Ban love

Hey fashion dolls, how's it going?

It's official, Ray-Bans are the coolest sunglasses to hit the fashion scene (i'm talking since their beginning in 1937).  Did you know they were originally created for the United States Army Air Corps.? Sooo cool! This post has been a long time coming.  I've been obsessing over Ray-Ban sunglasses ever since I first saw my big bro sporting them when I was younger.  Now that i'm in the Caribbean where sunglasses are a necessity all year round, I think it's the perfect time to talk about my favorite sunnies that i've been wearing everyday.  It feels like the sun is literally following me everywhere (even inside buildings...sooo not kidding).  That's why I never leave home without a pair of sunnies.  It's hard to appreciate my beautiful surroundings when i'm being blinded by the sun.  I brought with me my 2 fave pairs of Ray-Bans; my special series wayfarers designed by Matt W. Moore and my RB 3387 64 model which I adore.  Ray-bans are undeniably the most popular sunglasses among celebrities and fashionistas everywhere.  The coolness and sturdy designs are very appealing.  We all go through the trouble of finding the perfect sunnies to fit our faces.  I struggled with this for years before I purchased my first pair of Ray-Bans.  Because I have such a small face I tend to stay away from huge styles that overpower my face.  That's why I love Ray-Bans.  The sleek designs and simplicity provide the perfect fit for everyday use for most face types.  No matter what you're wearing a pair of Ray-Ban sunnies will add instant edge to any outfit.  If you consider your style edgy and you don't own a pair I highly recommend them.  The reason is simple, they're just cool!  I've included pics of a few of my favorite models and what they look like on.  They'll look just as good on you as they do on these celebrities. Don't believe me?  Try them!   Some of them I already own and some I must get my hands on ASAP especially those aviators 'aka' pilot shades.  I'm just dying to get my hands on a pair of those.

Summer is steadily approaching and now is the time to start sunglass shopping if you don't already own a pair.  I strongly believe that sunglasses are a good investment because depending on how you care for them they'll last a long time and you know they'll always suit your face once you choose the right pair.  If you have trouble figuring out what style works best for you here's a guide to help you decide.  For more awesome styles and info or to purchase any of the above styles you can visit the links below. Thanks so much for reading dolls and i'll love to know how you guys feel about Ray-bans.  Yay or Nay?

Love,

Birthday Paradise

IMG_9037

Hey fashion dolls, how's it going?

I apologize for not posting sooner.  Last week I jetted off to the Caribbean (where I still am and will be for the next couple of weeks) for my birthday.  These pics are from Saturday which was my actual birthday.  For those of you that don't know, i'm from a small Caribbean island located in the the British Virgin Islands (also known as the BVI).  The BVI consists of 4 main islands and over 50 other small islands and cays.  I grew up on the larger island of Tortola.  I decided to spend my birthday with friends on one of the neighboring islands called Virgin Gorda (a must visit if you ever travel to this end of the world).  My hun (who takes my blog pics) isn't traveling with me *sad face* so it'll be a bit hard to get pics of my trip but I was lucky enough to have my close friend and my sis take a few snaps of me.  How could they say no to the birthday girl?!! LOL.  Just kidding, thanks ladies.  Love you!

About this gorgeous dress; I bought it from Zara at the beginning of Spring and couldn't wait to wear it.  I knew my birthday would be the perfect occasion since I was traveling to a tropical setting.  The colors went beautifully with my surroundings.  I would say it's the perfect 'island dress' or summer dress.  I didn't want to take it off.  Despite my hesitation I changed into a cute little fluorescent peplum dress also purchased from Zara for a LONG night of partying with my sisters.  I didn't get pics but I had such a blast.  I was lucky enough to have my birthday fall on a holiday weekend so there were lots of things to do here.  My sisters and I partied on Saturday night until 4 in the morning.  The crazy thing about that is the club was just really getting started when we left but we had danced the entire night in heels.  When the legs say no more there is no fighting that....lol.  I seriously need to find the perfect dancing shoes.  For me the perfect dancing shoes is any that I can dance in for more than 5 hours.  My JC's come pretty close but there was no way I was traveling with those babies.  The took up the space of 3 pairs of my other shoes.  With 50lb weight limits on bags it just wasn't happening.  Although I do miss them it's just too hot here for boots.  Now I must stop myself from babbling =).
