I'm literally back from the dead after suffering from the flu for the past week. I urge everyone to get your flu shots (I didn't) because the flu is no joke. It's miserable and I know we don't like feeling miserable...just fashionable. Today I was finally able to put something on, other than sweats, and I felt GREAT. Back in my element and ready to put that bad memory behind me.
I headed out to run errands and a few other things so I opted for a more comfortable look (not that I don't always go for comfortable looks). Let me tell you, I LOVE these printed pants I found at H&M last month. So much so that I bought them in the two colors available. They're great for dressing up or down (more down) and i'm obsessed with the way the horizontal lines create an illusion of thicker legs. I may be the only one seeing this but just let me enjoy my moment...=). I could have paired this with any of my solid color tops (or even printed ones if I was feeling risky) but decided to go the comfort route with an oversized sweater which i'm obsessed with btw. It's rare to find stuff in Zara for only 20 bucks so when I do I almost always impulsively go for it. If I remember correctly it also came in yellow and white. I really want the white one but i'm sure it'll be gone by now. Anyway, I threw on my cute and comfortable jeweled tone pumps and a (somewhat) matching bag to complete the look and I was out the door.

Let me know what you think about this look and how you would style these pants. I'm always happy to read your thoughts. =)
Love always,

Cute pants! I'd probably go boring black. You look great. Glad you're feeling better.
ReplyDeleteThanks! Although I love color, I disagree with you, black is definitely not boring especially paired with such a vibrant pants. It's actually a very elegant and sophisticated color. If I wear these pants again I might just throw on a black top with it. ;-)
DeleteLovely outfit...I would style it the same or maybe with a nude sheer top....
ReplyDeleteThat totally works also. Thanks!
DeleteI like the outfit! The shoes and the bag make a pretty good match. Good choice! But I do think you can do better with the sunglasses. Don’t get me wrong, they look fabulous, just not with that outfit. May I suggest a pair of aviator style or square style sunglasses in gold or silver color?

Thanks Davida, although I like my sunglasses with this look this is good advice. I can definitely see your vision. Unfortunately I don't (yet) own a pair of aviators but the silver sounds REALLY appealing. You're gonna make me go shopping...lol.
DeleteThanks! =)
