Hey fashion dolls, how's it going?
Spring is steadily approaching, aren't you guys excited??? I know I am! I'm even more excited that Mint appears to be the color of the season judging from all the mint items i've been seeing in stores. If I haven't mentioned it before i'm saying it now....MINT IS MY FAVORITE color. Yes that definitely deserved caps lock. I'm obsessed! So when I walked into Zara and saw these pants it was a no brainer. My camera (in the strong sunlight) struggled with capturing the true color (which is mint green not blue as it appears). These pants are super easy to dress up or down so I paired it with a casual black top for a more laid back look. For my shoes, I couldn't resist throwing on another of my newest obsessions.....my strappy Zara heels. Bad idea! Read on to find out why. =)
I was so love struck when I spotted these on the Zara website. They were in my cart a second later. They sold out really quickly but Zara recently restocked. As much as I love them I have to be honest, I made the mistake of doing lots of walking in them right out the box and they murdered my feet. Killed it! My feet were so swollen! THE worst i've ever experienced. So bad that i've been wearing flats ever since to give my feet a break....and I hardly EVER wear flats. I fixed the problem, however, by adding insoles to the ball of my feet. It's a lot better and I definitely should have thought of it sooner. It would have saved me the embarasment I experienced when my hun's mom asked me if i'm sure I can walk in those heels. My confident reaction, "oh yeah i'm use to this." HA! I was almost to tears a few hours later. I couldn't even make it back to the car and I refused to take them off....LOL. They've been noticing me in flats ever since. LOL. Despite all that, i'll still wear them again and again. They just need breaking in. I hope!
